SINJE Town, March 28 (LINA)-A high power delegation from the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), led by Colonel Joseph Tamba Gayflor, has arrived in Grand Cape Mount County with the aim of conducting a Civilian-Military Operations for the next two weeks.
In his briefing to county officials on March 27, 2025 in Sinje Town, Grand Cape County, Col. Joseph Tamba Gayflor stated that the visit aims to foster engagement with local citizens through interactive sessions.
According to Col. Gayglor, over the next two weeks, the team will visit various towns and villages within Grand Cape Mount County.
Following their stay, he disclosed that they will subsequently proceed to Bomi and Gbarpolu counties where they will carry out similar operations.
Colonel Gayflor reassured residents that their presence was for community engagement and urged them to remain calm.
He added that the delegation will also visit border towns within the county.
For his part, Mr. Andrew Samuel Massaley, Assistant Superintendent for Fiscal Affairs, welcomed the AFL delegation and pledged the county leadership’s full support.
He encouraged citizens to cooperate with the army by providing information regarding potential security threats.
“I am calling on the citizens to not panic because of the presence of the military personnel in our community,” the Assistant Superintendent for Fiscal Affairs said to the citizens, adding “If you have food, please give some to our brothers and sisters in arms who are currently in the county with us,”
The Assistant Superintendent for Fiscal Affairs of Grand Cape Mount County concluded by calling on the citizens of the county to inform the delegation of any security threats in the county.
